Some may think it is a bit crazy to go with two little kids to Venice. We were thinking about it a fair bit but decided to do it anyways. We got a Kraxe (a special backpack in which you can carry small children) for Frida's birth and so we were carrying both around town. We stayed in Cannaregio, which is a neighbourhood Will knows pretty well as he has family living there. I really like to wonder around the streets there as you can avoid a bit the big crowds you often see in Venice. And I love to look at all the houses, wonder how long they have been there, how on earth they built them, how people must live in them and in general how a city can function with all the water around. Its incredible! Even though we couldn't maybe do as much with two children, we enjoyed sitting on steps of little bridges eating ice cream and just slowing down.

We used to have early dinners, and also cooked at home after being at the Rialto food markets to get some good vongole :) Two places we really liked, for great cicchetti Vino Vero and great food Osteria Anice Stellato
