At the lakes [Lake Starnberg]

Since we moved to Munich almost 1,5 years ago we really try to take advantage of the amazing nature around here.

Munich is very lucky to be surrounded by so many wonderful lakes, some just a very short car or train ride away. Lake Starnberg is one of them - in fact, after being there for a swim in the first days of Summer I was doubting why I should actually try any other lake as it was just so beautiful there. The water is crystal clear and just so wonderfully to swim in, particularly with the alps in the background.

One of the things I noticed while living in Australia and also noticed while being often at the lakes this Summer is how older people (who live by the water) use this element so incredibly naturally. It may sound weird but I adored how they got ready for their swims (no matter how old) and changed into their bathers, put their swim hats on etc. and how you could tell that this was a routine of theirs and that they have likely done this all their lives. It made me realize that this really is pure quality of life and how special it is!
